Amazon.com Review
A good alarm clock needs to be (1) loud enough to do the job, (2) easy to read even in the dark, and (3) must have a snooze button. Portability, is a bonus. The battery-operated Zelco Opticlock II fills all those qualifications--plus looks good too--housed in its sturdy, silver-toned plastic setting.

The Opticlock II has a tilting head and a faceplate that slides out to become a 2X magnifier, for help when squinting, sleepy eyes aren't quite up to the task of focusing. Theres also an illumination button on the top of the clock for nighttime check-ins--the light's there only when you need it. The alarm starts off soft but crescendos to 75 decibels, guaranteed to wake all but the heaviest sleepers. While the alarm's ringing, the illumination button on top becomes a snooze button; just tap it for four more minutes of sleep.

The Zelco Opticlock II measures 5-1/4 by 4 by 2-1/2 inches and requires one AA battery (not included). Zelco offers a one-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and labor that occur during normal use. --Garland Withers
